Fujitsu announces interbank platform tests

The Asian company indicated that it will work with several banks to execute the primary stages of this tool

The IT services giant Fujitsu announced its plans to work on the development of a platform for inter-bank agreements.

The company plans to use blockchain technology as part of its project, which will also be supported by nine other Japanese banks.

The first tests will be done on the Japanese Banks Payment Network, also known as Zengin-Net. To encourage digital development, the platform will have the use of a digital currency.

Fujitsu will use “the P2P money transfer platform developed in 2017 in conjunction with three large banks to generate money transfers to other banks and foster an interbank transfer of funds network,” the press release said.

For months, the Asian company was fully involved in the development of the blockchain tool.
