France will have regulatory laws for ICOs

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) is working on a regulation to prevent the creation of new projects that become scams

Recently, the Parliament of France approved a new legislative framework that will be linked to the regulation of the Initial Cryptocurrency Offers (ICO).

The entity in charge of this task will be the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), which will have the task of analyzing the most outstanding blockchain networks, trying to discard those that consist of scams or unrealizable promises.

All this is due to the growth of the offers so far in 2018, which reflects the attractiveness of this new type of investment and financing for the ventures.

Despite bringing many advantages, among the aspects against it is the fact that there is no real distinction between projects, so that potential investors can not be covered if a scam is perpetuated, and even less if there are no procedures in terms of information and identification of the participants.

The law seeks to offer a friendlier approach for the environment, maintaining rules that prevent users from being victims of abuse and guarantee that they also enjoy some protection in a case of fraud.
