Ford hits automotive market with an electric Mustang

A new car moved by electricity will be valued at $ 45,000 becoming the competition of Tesla Model 3

The new Mustang Mach-E car, presented this weekend at Los Angeles car show, shows Ford’s intention to compete with similar cars already presented by Tesla and General Motors, among others.

The new model aims to maintain the leverage achieved by Mustang in the last 55 years. However, the news generated critics from fans of this brand, almost a symbol of American culture. “Ford should not have put the name Mustang to its new electric car Mach-E but it did and the world is now a little sadder for that,” wrote Mike Sutton of Car and Driver magazine.

This vehicle will have an autonomy of at least 482.8 kilometers (300 miles) per load and can reach a speed of 96.56 kilometers (60 miles) per hour in four seconds. As described by the Ford, the attraction behind the wheel reminds the first Mustang, by maintaining its long bonnet, the design of the rear and its striking bulbs.

It is expected that at the end of the year one of the versions of the Mustang Mach-E will be on sale, valued at around $ 45,000, which could be reduced to 35,000 thanks to fiscal credits for electric cars.

Hau Thai-Tang, CEO of the Ford product development division, said that consumers are looking for a vehicle that brings excitement when driving, in addition to having a magnificent appearance that suits their lifestyle. “And the Mustang Mach-E offers all that in a unique way”, he said.
