Forbes publishes world’s billionaires top 10

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, remains at the top of the list for the second consecutive year followed by Bill Gates and Warren Buffett

The top 10 of the world’s billionaires for 2019 according to Forbes magazine is still headed by Amazon’s founder, Jeff Bezos, who repeats in the ranking for the second year in a row.

With a fortune valued at US $ 131,000, Bezos is number 1 on the list of the richest men in the world, despite the fall of Amazon shares.

The global financial crisis, in addition to other factors linked to scandals, has changed the scenario and many of the members of the list have left the ranking since 2017.

The second place in the top 10 of Forbes is held by Bill Gates, with a fortune of US $ 96,500 million. Gates remained number one for 12 years, from 2001 to 2017. Among the reasons for the change in his position is the fact of having donated 35,800 million dollars to his foundation.

Warren Buffet, of Berkshire Hathaway, is in the third place of the ranking, with a fortune of US $ 82,500 million. The American investor and businessman is considered an austere man, despite his wealth, as well as a philanthropist.

From positions 4 to 10, respectively, Forbes has placed: Bernard Arnault (LVMH, US $ 76,000 million), Carlos Slim Helu (Telecom, US $ 64,000 million), Amancio Ortega (Inditex, US $ 62,700 million), Larry Ellison ( Software, US $ 62,500 million), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook, US $ 62,300 million), Michael Bloomberg (Bloomberg LP, US $ 55,500 million) and Larry Page (Google, US $ 50,800 million).
