Florida dismissed Bitcoin strategic reserve bills
House Bill 487 and Senate Bill 550 were postponed indefinitely in Florida, following other US States which seem not to trust the Bitcoin reserve proposal
Two important bills aimed at creating a Bitcoin reserve in Florida, United States, were postponed indefinitely: Florida House Bill 487 and Senate Bill 550, which have been “withdrawn from consideration.”
During the last Florida legislative session, both bills failed to receive the approval of lawmakers. “The Senate and the House agreed to extend the session until June 6 to address budget plans.” On the contrary, 230 bills were passed on “issues such as banning fluoride in water, protecting state parks, and banning smartphones in schools.”
With this decision, Florida joins Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Montana, and Oklahoma, which have also seen bitcoin bills fail in House or Senate votes.
