First blockchain purchase of property in Argentina

In the province of San Luis, a transaction was made for the acquisition of land, through the use of technology

This week the first purchase of a property in Latin America was carried out in Argentina, thanks to the blockchain technology.

It is a land of 600 square meters, located in Villa Larca, province of San Luis, Argentina, which was marketed by the company Terraloteos.com.

This was announced by iProud, which also added the statements of Guillermo Navarro Bildenlex Lawyer Studio, who was responsible for the management of the transaction.

“In this way, we can sign more quickly, through a certified digital ticket under blockchain, to which the parties have access permanently. We verify the identity and add confirmation processes”, detailed Navarro.

On the other hand, he assured that the proof of purchase provides a “series of integrations, such as hyperlinks to maps, information, videos, photos and legal and regulatory diagrams“.

The company Signatura for its part, was responsible for providing all the services blockchain for the transaction, something that its co-founder Gonzalo Blousson considered as a challenge mainly in the “need to determine which digital documents were signed, when and who did it”.

“Blockchain, as a technology that gives confidence without the need to resort to a third party, allows us to identify the parties involved in the transaction and the signed document, as well as giving it a certain date when uploading it to the Bitcoin blockchain,” he emphasized.
