Facebook’s measure affects bitcoin

This Thursday, the bitcoin suffered a new fall in its market value after falling below 10 thousand dollars being a new negative day for this cryptocurrency that has been losing value since December 2017.

After almost being at 20 thousand dollars per bt, the cryptocurrency has maintained a decline since the end of January. Now, in just two days of February it has already been observed how the value of bitcoin has reached seven thousand dollars.

This is due, according to experts, to the ban that Facebook launched regarding cryptocurrency ads. This caused bitcoin investors and other currencies to be highly affected.

“Any advertising that promotes financial products and services is prohibited which are often associated with deceptive promotional practices such as binary options, initial offerings of coins and criptomonedas” said the social network through a statement.

The losses during 2018 were accentuated by each government measure that slowed the advance of its use, such as those employed in South Korea and China.

On Thursday, the Government of India announced that it will take “all measures” to end the use of cryptocurrencies as a method of payment in the country and warned that it does not consider them legal currencies.
