Facebook will invest 200 million dollars in SMEs

The social network will seek to support the black community, after the scandal experienced weeks ago in the United States

The social network Facebook announced that it will launch a $ 200 million initiative, which seeks to support the ventures of black people.

It is not the first time that Mark Zuckerberg’s group has done something like this. At the beginning of the pandemic, it prepared SME funds so that the world could receive non-refundable loans to face the crisis caused.

This amount will be delivered in two ways. On the one hand, half will go to businesses run by people of black people, creators and non-governmental organizations that work in these communities. Of those $ 100 million, $ 25 million will go to creators and $ 75 million will be loans that will not have to be repaid and free amounts to advertise without cost on the social network.

The other $ 100 million will go to providers who actively work with these communities. For example, Social Media agencies whose clients include managed businesses. According to Facebook, this figure will be repeated every year, not only this year.
