Facebook will eliminate group stories at the end of the month

The social network Facebook will remove the group stories on September 26, although it will allow members and administrators to continue sharing stories from their personal profile.

The stories of the groups were introduced at the beginning of December last year. It is “an informal and simple way to share fun, fast and ephemeral moments with specific groups of people,” the company explained when its global availability began.

This week, however, the technology company will say goodbye to them. Thus, on September 26, new group stories can no longer be published and the existing ones will be deleted, as the company reports in a statement.

Facebook notes that members of a group or its administrators can still share stories from their personal profile.
