Facebook must pay compensation to the Italian treasury

The social network created by Mark Zuckerberg owes a debt to the Italian authorities due to a fraud investigation

The social network Facebook agreed with the Italian treasury the payment of 100 million euros because of the debts for the investigation of fraud in which the company of Mark Zuckerberg was involved.

This is not the first time that one of the giants is forced to pay debts to Italy, since Amazon, Google and Apple did the same time ago.

According to the authorities, said agreement will reach an end to matters related to fiscal investigations made by the Finance Guard.

Facebook will have to pay the litigation related to the fiscal investigations carried out by the Finance Guard and coordinated by the Milan prosecutor’s office for the period 2010-2016.

In consecuence, Facebook Italy will be forced to disburse some 100 million euros as outlined in the press release.
