Facebook Messenger launches a redesign of its platform
Chatbots and the “discover” tab will no longer be available for use by people
The messenger application Facebook Messenger, announced changes in the design of its platform and the elimination of some options that – according to the company – customers no longer used. Within the renovations carried out the network eliminated the Chatbots, games that existed within the app, and the “discover” tab.
As it is known, the main objective of the company is to simplify the app so it is expected that these changes will continue in the Messenger interface during this year.
It is not the first time that Facebook Messenger announces changes in its platform since in August 2019 it also applied the same strategy although the changes were not executed within the app.
For his part, Stan Chudnovsky, Product Manager and Vice President of Messenger, reported: “We want the Messenger application to be back for what was created, a fast functional messaging application.”
In that sense, the company is offering a section called “people” in which it adds a large box at the top with the word “friends”, where the most used contacts in the chat will be sorted, similar to the “best friends” option from Instagram.
