Facebook said that it will add a notification on its Facebook and Instagram platforms, in which it will show the result of the United States elections when it is finally known which candidate is the winner.
The social network indicated that the notification will appear at the top of both platforms and will announce the name of the winner of the US presidential elections, which were held on November 3, once most of the media have announced it in the projections.
“A presidential winner has been projected – and he is the expected winner of the 2020 US presidential election”, the notification will say, Facebook spokesman Tom Reynolds explained.
To do this, the company will rely on media such as ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, NBC News, CNN and The Associated Press, according to Reynolds.
In addition, the company spokesperson detailed that Facebook will also tag the posts of the presidential candidates with a link that will redirect users to its voting information center.
