Alonso will reward fans through KodakOne
Through the blockchain platform Alonso will protect his digital library as well as rewarding his fans
The F1 champion, Fernando Alonso, established a strategic alliance with Kodak to secure his images through the KodakOne blockchain. The platform will allow to protect the copyright of the photographers that make pictures of Alonso, but also it will make possible that the fans receive some modality of reward.
The strategic association with Wen Digital Inc., which is the image rights management platform, also includes the protection of the videos that are compiled from Alonso’s performances on the tracks where he competes.
Alonso highlighted the satisfaction of having a platform to protect photos and audiovisual material, as well as the possibility of rewarding professionals of photography and his fans by sharing photos and videos.
Spokespeople from KodakOne have indicated that through the blockchain platform they hope to build an ecosystem of rewards through which not only Fernando Alonso but other athletes can relate more directly to their followers and that fans can use the rewards in a specific service.
The company Wen Digital Inc. indicated that by the end of 2018 or at least the beginning of 2019 they expect to launch the KodakOne coin in its beta version. Meanwhile, they must await the approval of the relevant authorities in the United States.
