Exclusive, the bill to boost crypto in Argentina

The lower house will present a project that allows the South American country to establish a local ecosystem

Argentina is considered one of the capitals with the most crypto trading in the world and despite the fact that the number of users in the South American nation is 900,000, the intention is to apply tools that allow crypto to be institutionalized.

Around this, the Lower House will present this Friday a project that will allow the instruments to have a legal definition and that also allows the growth of the local ecosystem in the South American country.

According to the iProUP news portal exclusively, the deputy Ignacio Torres from the political alliance “Together for Change” will present a project aimed at institutionalizing cryptocurrencies, which will be a spearhead for the State, banks and companies to have more options in the use of these instruments.

Compared to other countries such as the US, China, Russia and Brazil, Argentina does not have an active cryptocurrency policy, which indicates that the proposal could be a window in the Argentine market for the civil and commercial operation of crypto .

“Our goal is to recognize cryptocurrencies as a financial asset. Obviously, total regulation is not contemplated because they are powers of the Federal Administration of Public Revenues. But we want to obtain the greatest consensus in the field to have legislation similar to that of other countries “, says Torres in dialogue with iProUP.
