European Parliament ratifies its support to Juan Guaidó

The organization confirmed its support to Juan Guaidó and endorsed a peaceful solution in Venezuela with free, transparent and credible elections

The European Parliament confirms that it continues to support and recognize Juan Guaidó as the legitimate interim president of Venezuela. In the same way, they manifest their loyalty to his action plan.

The European deputies condemn repression and violence. Consequently, they reiterate their deep concern about the political and humanitarian crisis that exists in the country.

The second resolution of the year on Venezuela was approved with 310 votes in favor, 120 against and 152 abstentions. The decision corresponds to the tenth one since the beginning of the current legislature.

The statement published by the organization affirms that Venezuela faces a shortage of medicines and food. It also suffers from constant massive violations of human rights, hyperinflation, political oppression, corruption and violence.

MEPs also argue that poverty reached 87% of the population and millions of Venezuelan citizens have been forced to flee the country.

To conclude, the congressmen mention the recent power cuts that worsen the already complex health and service crisis.
