Regarding the new feature, which will be available for apps, iOS and Android systems, and web clients starting May 13, Google stated: “We’ll be able to use these emojis when replying to the sender, also to confirm receipt of the email, or simply to express yourself.”

This way, Gmail users will be able to show their gratitude to the sender, send a greeting, or indicate acceptance of an invitation using an emoji as an “expressive and personalized way to respond to emails.”

To add emoji reactions to emails, simply click the “Add emoji reactions” button located at the top of the message, next to the “Reply” button. Additionally, “you can see more emojis by tapping the + button, and all these reactions will appear at the end of the email.”

However, the technology company has clarified that “the feature will be disabled by default in Gmail, and they clarify that these emoji reactions cannot be sent to emails received through a Google Group or to those that have a Google Group in the recipient list.”

In addition to being available for iOS, Android, and web clients, it will also be available for Google Workspace customers, as well as users with personal Google accounts.

The instant messaging platform continues to introduce features focused on security and privacy to improve the user experience. In this case, it is a function that is already available in the version of the app for smartphones since May and that tries to limit access to the platform’s chats.

Now, WhatsApp also added to its beta version of the app on the Web the screen lock system, with which, in order to access the chats, the user must enter a password.

In this sense, when activating the screen lock function, access to the conversations is blocked by an interface in which you are asked to enter the correct password. Once entered, the user can navigate through the different chats.

In addition, according to the same means, the user can also configure when the screen lock password must be requested, defining a time interval. Another feature of this feature is that when it is enabled, push notifications do not appear on the screen.

If you forget the configured password, simply log out of WhatsApp Web and log in again, repeating the QR code scanning process.

Currently, to use WhatsApp on the computer, the application must be opened on the mobile phone and access the Linked devices tab. Once that button is pressed, the phone must be directed to the PC or laptop screen to scan the QR code.

WABetaInfo has now discovered that, after downloading the latest WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.23.14.18, available in the Google Play Store, it is possible to proceed with this device linking in another way.

This portal has noticed the ‘Link with phone number’ option, which would indicate that, thanks to this feature, users will be able to link their account to WhatsApp Web without having to scan the QR code.

Once this new option has been chosen, the platform will show an interface that requests the entry of an 8-character code, which must be filled in once the notification with this number has been received.

WABetaInfo has recalled that this functionality is only available to beta testers who download the latest WhatsApp update, and has suggested that it will also be available for iOS.

Photo and video social network Instagram is working on a feature to publish content directly from the web version, according to developer Alessandro Paluzzi.

The update to the version for desktop web browsers will allow users to access all the publishing options that are currently only available on mobile phones.

As can be seen in the images shared by Paluzzi on Twitter, the new interface allows to see a preview of the content and the possibility of cropping the image, applying filters or adding a description.

Some people may be wondering how the developer got access to the new Instagram publishing interface. Unfortunately at the moment it is not verified what his technique was and if others can try it.

Now, little is known about this feature, but Paluzzi’s finding is an indication that Instagram could roll it out to all users at some point. However, there are no official mentions about it.
