-Those who work in sales often face the same scenario: they present a well-constructed proposal, detail the benefits, answer objections, and still receive a “no” too quickly.

What’s going wrong?

“Possibly, the problem isn’t the solution you’re offering. It’s the conversation you’re having.” When a buyer is on autopilot—with fixed ideas, assumptions, or poorly focused urgencies—repeating arguments rarely works.

-Instead, a good question can open a gap in their thinking and take the conversation to another level.

The right questions don’t just drive sales

They transform the conversation

They provoke reflection

They take the buyer out of autopilot

“Here I share with readers and users 9 questions designed for just that: to change your client’s focus and open a more strategic, in-depth, and forward-thinking dialogue.”

-They are truly useful, which is why we should take them into account.

“Why is that your strategy?”

A simple but powerful question. Stated politely, it doesn’t confront; it invites review. If the client’s logic is sound, excellent. If not, you can help them rethink it.

“Why hasn’t this been solved before?”

This question makes the invisible visible. Maybe they’ve already tried and failed. Maybe they chose a convenient but ineffective solution. With this question, you can better understand their story and add something more relevant.

“What will the impact be if you don’t solve it?”

Every problem has consequences. Sometimes they’re obvious, sometimes they’re minimized. This question helps clarify real costs, risks, and emergencies.

“How do you think you could make it happen?”

This “how” opens the way to talk about obstacles and possible paths. It allows you to see the landscape from their perspective… and show why your solution makes sense.

“What do you think could be possible?”

Ideal for getting the buyer out of the short term. This question points to opportunities, potential, and what could be achieved beyond the immediate problem.

“Have you considered another way to do it?”

It doesn’t suggest the client is wrong, just that they may not have explored every angle. It opens the door to new ideas without imposing them.

“What will happen if they don’t act?”

This question introduces real urgency. It doesn’t pressure, but it does show what’s at stake if they don’t make decisions in a timely manner.

“How do you know that’s true?”

Sometimes the client repeats assumptions as if they were facts. This question doesn’t challenge, it invites more precise thinking and a separation of the subjective from the objective.

“What’s missing?”

This is a question that changes the pace. It usually creates a pause: “Good question…” That’s where something valuable can emerge that wasn’t yet on the table.

Close more sales by asking better questions

-These questions aren’t gimmicks. They’re tools to connect more deeply, build trust, and provide real value.

“Because selling isn’t about pressure. It’s about conversing intelligently.”

The People’s Bank of China has been the entity in charge of connecting the digital RMB, which gives China a victory over the prevalence of the US dollar in the global economy.

The best part is that “while the SWIFT system still suffers delays of 3 to 5 days for international payments, the Chinese digital bridge has reduced that time to 7 seconds.” As an example, the first test run between Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi is cited, in which a company transferred funds to a Middle Eastern supplier without having to go through six intermediary banks. The funds were received in real time and with 98 % lower fees.

According to reports, 23 central banks are participating in this Chinese digital currency bridge.

Regarding this accelerated decision by China, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) indicated that the Asian country is “defining the rules of the game in the digital currency era.”

The benefits are notable not only in terms of transaction speed, but also in enabling full traceability and the automatic application of anti-money laundering regulations.

Meta, owner of Instagram, has been working on the redesign of its application for months, after revealing that reels currently represent more than 20 % of the time that people spend on the social network.

Among some of the modifications that she has carried out, the most outstanding is that of a new feed interface, which offers the content in full screen, very similar to the TikTok format.

Also, the company recently tested a new option that converts all the videos that are published in this section, a strategy with which it hopes to “simplify and improve the video experience”, as confirmed by a Meta spokesperson.

These changes, still in the testing phase and to which only some users have had access, have not been well received by the social network community, which indicates that the reels act to the detriment of the usual feed publications.

With the new resources, it is planned to expand the Social Protection Systems project, which was approved last April 2019, and the implementation of the national strategy called “Ecuador Grows without Malnutrition.”

The project has allowed the delivery of the programs of the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) to be more equitable, due to the optimization of the mechanism to select the beneficiaries in charge of the Social Registry, as well as the technical assistance to improve the effectiveness of programs through monitoring, evaluation and institutional strengthening.

Improving living conditions

Simón Cueva, Minister of Economy and Finance, highlighted: “The Government of the Meeting works to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable population of Ecuador. In this sense, these resources have as their main destination attacking one of the most pressing structural problems in the country, the fight against chronic child malnutrition”.

The financing is aimed at 728 parishes in the country and will support the consolidation of a new institutional model, called the Permanent Update Model (MAP). That will facilitate the integration and dynamism of the social registry to other large national administrative databases. These activities will be carried out by the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion, the Ministry of Public Health and the Social Registry Unit.

For her part, Marianne Fay, director of the World Bank for Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, pointed out that Ecuador’s national strategy “grows without malnutrition” is implemented by the national executive to provide protection to the most vulnerable people in the “phase of recovery from Covid-19 to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030”.

The additional loan was approved at a variable rate with a fixed spread, repayable over 18 years, including a 5-year grace period.

“Our reserves are 20 % higher than last year… Instead of supplying the world market, we are filling our own reserves,” the trade unionist pointed out.

According to Zlochevsky, by June 30 Russia plans to export 36 million tons of wheat, some four million tons less than its export potential.

The war between Russia and Ukraine, both countries are responsible for producing a third of the world’s wheat, and the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union have caused a disruption in the delivery of “cereals and other basic products from these two countries, which raises fears of a global famine”.

Information campaign increased wheat prices

According to Arkady Zlochevsky, “All the news hysteria about an impending famine only pushed up prices. (…) When the hysteria ends, prices will simply plummet. It is not the best strategy, and it can end badly.”

The union representative believes that approximately 120 million tons of cereals will be harvested this year, of which 80 million tons correspond to wheat. However, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture had estimated 130 million tons.

In Zlochevsky’s opinion, the quantities of Russian wheat destined for the European Union are very small and deliveries are made through the Middle East. “We have very important transit flows through Turkey and Iran, and they continue”.

For many years, Egypt was Russia’s largest wheat importer, but was displaced by Turkey, which now ranks first, followed by Iran.

During next March 22 and 23, the event called CiberForum will be held in virtual format in Mexico, which aims to disseminate the new technologies existing in the market to face the digital risks presented by companies.

In the event, more than 40 specialists will refer to the best practices and the different strategies that experts apply to combat and prevent the different cyber attacks, they assure that this problem, although “it cannot be avoided, it can be prevented and combated with strategic”.

The companies MercaBien, Check Point, GS1, TotalPlay, Womcy, among others, will be participating in CiberForum 2022.

Cyber attacks cause millionaire losses

A study carried out by RiskIQ highlights that computers with Internet connections “face 1.5 attacks“, which generate large losses of money for organizations. According to the publications made by PWC “information rescues have been around 70 million dollars” and the majority of companies (more than 50 %) estimate that by 2022 “cyber attacks will reach record numbers”.

For the editorial director of CiberForum, Uriel Naum Ávila, “companies seek to move quickly towards digital, but they are not taking into account the security risks that such a dizzying transformation implies. From his perspective, cybersecurity is essential for companies at the moment, therefore, it is no longer just a matter of specialized areas, but a matter of strategy in organizations.

This increase is part of the plan established in 2021, when the organization established a monthly increase of 400,000 bpd from last August to September 2022, after evaluating the behavior of the sector.
A representative of the group pointed out: “It has been decided to maintain the current strategy”, after the virtual meeting where the ministers of the different countries that make up the group participated.

OPEC+ continues to recover its production

The conclusions of the meeting of the OPEC + group did not bring surprises for the global oil market. In the group’s final statement, released to the media, they state: “In view of the current fundamentals of the oil market and the consensus on its prospects, the ministers certified the decision to adjust monthly global production upwards by 0.4 million barrels per day (mbd) in the month of February 2022.”

OPEC will supply the market with some 24,808 mbd. This figure does not include pumping from Venezuela, Iran and Libya. This was stated by the economist and former deputy José Guerra, who also indicated the need to create a new currency.

According to the expert, the new currency should be anchored to the dollar, while the economy recovers and subsequently it is necessary to progress to “a floating system on solid fundamentals.”

As a consequence of the damage caused by the economic policies, especially between 2007 and 2020, the former deputy considers that it is impossible to restore the bolivar. He affirmed that, in financially unstable countries, the issuance of local currency must be supported by international reserves so that the public chooses to maintain it and that does not happen in Venezuela.

According to the economist, it is imperative to defeat hyperinflation. This requires the design and application of an extensive program of economic and institutional reforms with external financing, in order to prevent the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) from continuing to increase the fiscal deficit.

“The most expeditious recipe for destroying a currency is for the central bank to use its issuing capacity to finance the treasury, a populism tool known as the inorganic issuance of money and it is the strategy most used by all countries that have suffered from hyperinflation”, Guerra concluded.

Mercedes López Acea, a member of said political group, was in charge of giving the announcement, adding that the objective is to “advance the study of cryptocurrencies in today’s economy.”

At the moment there is no greater detail regarding this new strategy, but it is expected that this means that in the near future Cuba may open to the use of cryptocurrencies.

As reported by Granma, the official newspaper of the only political party admitted to the island, in addition to cryptocurrencies, other “strategic issues for the nation’s progress were discussed.” Among them are “the economic management model, investment policy, science, technology, innovation, their impact on society and social policy.”

Walmart estimates that the acquisition of these products, intended for sale in its stores, will create 750,000 jobs in the United States over the next few years.

The company detailed that its efforts will focus on six main product categories: plastics, textiles, small appliances, processed food, medical and pharmaceutical goods and products for its own operations not intended for sales.

The president and CEO of Walmart, John Furner, assured that this initiative will also imply a reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions of about 100 million metric tons, due to the purchase of local products.
