According to the parent company, this service was originally aimed at content creators and online personalities, “but now Meta also hopes to attract other users with a cheaper subscription and different features that it has already begun testing in some regions.

The monthly fee will offer improvements to Stories. In this regard, “subscribers to the new service will be able to view other people’s stories anonymously, without the author knowing they have been viewed.”

Additionally, it will be possible to see how many people have reviewed one of their stories, extend its duration by 24 hours, or feature them once a week so they appear at the top of their followers’ Stories feeds.

Paid users will have the option to create unlimited audience lists for their Stories posts.

The company led by Mark Zuckerberg has indicated other new features, such as the inclusion of a search function in the view list that will make it easier to determine if a specific person has viewed your story, and “an animated Super Like to react to other people’s posts.”

Regarding pricing, Meta specified that in Mexico it costs 39 pesos. (about 2 euros per month), in Japan it’s 319 yen (approximately 1.75 euros), and in the Philippines it’s 65 Philippine pesos (around one euro).

The launch was announced on the platform’s official blog, where they indicate that it is only available in TikTok’s Story Camera.

Users will simply need to open Story Camera by clicking the “+” button in the Inbox or Profile section. They can then choose a photo from their Stories album and tap the AI Alive icon, located in the right-hand toolbar. A dialog box will appear with the phrase “Make this photo come to life,” providing instructions for the desired changes. Once the transformation is complete, the clip can be shared like any other Story on the platform, and the video will appear in the For You and Following feeds, as well as on the creator’s profile page.

With the new tool, users can capture the desired image and “transform it into a cinematic scene” with the desired features and add ambient sounds. “It will also be possible to animate a group selfie, highlighting the gestures and expressions of the participants.”

According to the platform, AI Alive “uses intelligent editing tools that allow anyone, regardless of experience, to convert still images into short, engaging videos, enriched with movement, atmospheric effects, and creative elements.”

TikTok clarified that videos created with AI Alive will include a visible label indicating their origin. They will also be accompanied by C2PA metadata, “a technology that allows content created with artificial intelligence to be identified, even if it is downloaded or shared outside of TikTok.”

The social network owned by Meta already has different options to use stickers generated by the application in stories, as well as other customization functions such as ‘GIFs’ or personalized avatar stickers.

In this sense, Instagram specified that users will be able to insert the stickers in their Stories or in the reels, as announced by the platform’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, on his channel on the social network.

To create the sticker in the stories, as shown in an example video shared by Mosseri, users must open the options menu and click on the new create function, which appears accompanied by an icon with scissors.

Then, you just have to choose the image with which you want to create the sticker from the reel and, automatically afterward, the app will begin to create the sticker focusing on a prominent element of the photo.

Once the process is finished, all you have to do is place the sticker in the story, which will be displayed as an element that can be placed on top of other content.

Stories are short videos that have a lifespan of one week and can only be created with mobile devices. With them, content creators can connect with their audiences in an informal way, no matter where they are.

Until now, this format was in beta phase and available to channels with over 10,000 subscribers, although once a channel reaches this audience, the functionality may take up to seven days to appear.

YouTube does not allow creating these stories if the channel’s content has been marked as made for kids or if this audiovisual content application is being used through a supervised account.

The company has now announced that the option to create stories will no longer be available starting from June 26 of this year, and those published on the same day will have their usual duration of seven days, after which they will disappear.

Instagram Stories are posts that disappear after 24 hours and have become one of the favorite tools for content creators and influencers.

However, the platform is working on a new format that reduces mass posts to the first three stories of said reel.

In this way, users will be able to view three in the first instance and, to continue accessing the following if there are any, they must manually activate the “Show more” button.

In the screenshot that user Phil Ricelle has shared via Twitter, echoed by Tecnoblog, you can see this button in the upper left, along with the number of stories uploaded by the user, their profile picture and your name.

The professional social network LinkedIn will eliminate at the end of September the “Stories” or ephemeral content, and whose functions will reach the videos of the platform in the future.

LinkedIn had introduced Stories in the past year, with a short-lived video format similar to Instagram Stories intended for informal updates.

However, platform users prefer that the videos do not disappear but remain saved in their accounts, as the platform’s Product Director, Liz Li, recognized in her LinkedIn profile.

Likewise, LinkedIn users stated that they wanted more creative options to improve the results of their videos, in addition to the ‘stickers’ and the ‘question of the day‘ function that were present in the Stories.

For this reason, the platform has announced that it is working on developing an “even richer and more conversational reinvented video experience”, extending the creative tools of Stories to the entire platform and integrating them with your professional profile.

This is how it eliminates the function of sliding up or “Swipe Up”. This change is mainly due to the fact that users are more familiar with stickers.

With the measure, users will be able to respond to the links previously added, when opening the web page, since it was not possible to respond because the option to react was disabled. Additionally, the function will have different styles so that users can choose their favorites and will be able to vary the size or arrangement of the stories, as well as the surveys and questions.

The social network Instagram has been testing the function of the stickers for several weeks to avoid difficulties and limitations for the time of its launch, which is scheduled for the end of August.

According to what is reported by Instagram, for now the new function can only be used for verified accounts or those that have more than 10,000 followers in their registry. The social network indicated that it is evaluating the feasibility so that all its users can enjoy the new function, but for now they must assess its operation and performance with those who have access.

By the end of August we will begin to touch the stickers to visualize the shared link and we will forget to swipe up.

The new application was developed jointly with Azure, Microsoft’s communication services platform, the company to which the social network belongs. And it becomes part of the deployment that LinkedIn has been making in terms of new and more dynamic visual tools within its platform, such as stories or live broadcasts.

The incorporation of video calls is a great strength because it allows users to live a more comfortable and complete experience that provides complementary information within the video call, which will be present in the profile of the members, seen at the bottom of the video.

This attribute guarantees added value, particularly in the job search, by promoting a more dynamic environment for interviews or meetings in the future. The new tool will be deployed to all users of the social network throughout this week.

According to what was expressed by the representatives of the social network, with this new application it is guaranteed “from an initial job search to a 1: 1 conversation. We wanted to boost the productivity of our members from start to finish, while we kept safe. By adding video conferencing as part of the messaging experience, members can virtually connect while maintaining the context of their existing conversation.”

The initiative will have an initial phase of development that will be available for personal video calls, but they plan to expand it to incorporate several members to the meetings. They are also working on facilitating the connection, which is why when terms related to video calls appear in the conversation, a button will appear to speed up the process and start the conference.

Stories are one of the content formats that are most successful among users of social networks, such as Snapchat, the first to introduce them in 2013, or Instagram. In WhatsApp they are known as States.

This format has in common on all platforms that it expires and disappears after 24 hours. And now TikTok is testing its own Stories, as commented by analyst Matt Navarra.

This new TikTok feature is part of a test the company is running. Those who have been able to access this format, have seen a new sidebar, with options to create and share and view those of the contacts. They also disappear within 24 hours.
