In various LA countries “the so-called digital dollars are beginning to be used to pay, save and send money, beyond crypto trading.”

Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina set the trend in the region in terms of the adoption of payment systems based on “digital wallets, QR codes, cards”, as well as increasingly efficient and secure applications and platforms.

The currencies of these countries are converted to stablecoins such as USDT or USDC or cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin.

Traditional banking users now see digital assets as an everyday means of payment, not as a means of investment. The growth in the use of stablecoins in Latin America is linked to “specific needs: protecting purchasing power, moving money between countries, accessing a more stable unit of account and making payments without always depending on the traditional banking system.” Added to this is sending money to relatives in other countries in the format of remittances.

According to Ítalo Atencio, president of the association, between 60 % and 70 % of transactions in retail chains are already carried out through these terminals, which has increased consumer satisfaction by 5 %.

Self-checkout technology is used in several Latin American countries. According to Atencio, in Venezuela, this system provides satisfaction to consumers, who spend an average of 55 minutes per supermarket visit.

“Among the benefits most valued by users are the ability to bag products according to their own preferences, greater privacy when purchasing sensitive items, such as medications or feminine hygiene products, and a noticeable ease of use for small purchases.”

The conveniences include the use of contactless cards and mobile devices. In Atencio’s opinion, this is a tool that’s here to stay. The trade association representative predicts that its use will continue to grow in both supermarkets and pharmacies.

In an effort to strengthen the security of online transactions, Bancamiga implemented ID Check technology, in collaboration with Mastercard. This innovative tool seeks to offer an additional layer of protection when using their credit and debit cards to make purchases online.

In Bancamiga Suite, customers access an authentication code. They must go to Direct Access, select the “ID Check” option and press “Generate Code.” This number must be copied and entered on the page of the store where the purchase is being made. This simple process guarantees that each transaction is protected, thus providing greater security to users.

The new update of Bancamiga Suite also organizes the beneficiaries in the transfer directory in a practical and fast way thanks to the new filtering function, and also speeds up transfers to beneficiaries who are not added to the client directory.

In this way, Bancamiga is consolidating itself in the Venezuelan financial market as an institution that offers its clients cutting-edge products and services that make their daily lives easier.

Aramburu, 22 years old, right back of the national team La Vinotinto, is a promise of the sport and recognized for combining speed, technique and excellent positioning. It is thanks to this that “the scouts of the current king of the scudetto had the young man who plays for Real Sociedad on their list of priorities.”

His debut with Real Sociedad was on November 1, 2023 during a Copa del Rey match against Club Deportivo Buñol. “In that process, the Venezuelan footballer entered the field at 73 minutes replacing Álvaro Odraizola.”

Before joining the Spanish team, Aramburu debuted with the Venezuelan National Team on June 18, 2023 during a friendly against Guatemala.
