This agreement will not only strengthen trade, but will also allow progress in joint infrastructure projects in transportation, communications with the implementation of new technologies.”

Another aspect of equal importance, addressed at the meeting of ministers, was the importance of developing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in Peru, taking as a model the Chinese experience in advanced technology applied in its cities.

Pérez Reyes made clear the interest of his country to adapt and apply in the local environment the solutions of the Asian nation to optimize the safety and efficiency of transportation in the country.

Various experiments have been developed for decades. However, the most recent one seems to have hit the mark: an invisibility cloak created by Chinese professor Chu Junhao, director of the Faculty of Science at Donghua University in Shanghai.

In a public event, reported on social networks, the academic showed the properties of the new material, when two assistants displayed before him a transparent plate that immediately made his body invisible from the waist down.

As if it were Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak, the material used allowed the lower part of his body to disappear from view. But how does it actually work?

Chu Junhao has noted that “invisibility was achieved with a series of templates or lenticular grids. These are a kind of transparent sheets made up of tiny convex cylindrical lenses. When light passes through this outstanding material, a refraction phenomenon occurs that erases the image from the visual field.”

At that moment, “the material will cause the light to be compressed into thin strips and when the number of lenses is large enough, invisibility occurs.”

When this point has been reached, the image we perceive breaks down into millions of identical particles, making it impossible for the human eye to capture the set of elements. It is as if what was in front of the viewer has disappeared.

Although the professor at Donghua University in Shanghai defends the application of this layer in the military area, to disappear airplanes, for example, he also points out that it could soon become another piece in our closet.

Tesla has a first plant of megapacks, as it is called “the energy storage batteries used to stabilize electrical networks and avoid supply outages”, located in California.

At the California plant, Tesla produces about 10,000 batteries a year, for an average storage of 40 GWh. It is estimated that each unit “can store more than 3 megawatt hours (MWh) of energy, enough to supply an average of 3,600 homes for one hour.”

According to reports from the Xinhua newspaper, with the new factory “the value of the industrial pole in that area exceeds 100,000 million yuan (14,543 million dollars, 13,341 million euros).”

The Chinese city of Shanghai eased anticovid restrictions after two months of home confinement. As of midnight on Wednesday, most citizens of the economic center of the city can move freely, shopping malls open again and public transport resumes.

“This is a day we have dreamed of for a long time,” said Shanghai government spokeswoman Yin Xin. “Everyone has sacrificed a lot. This day has been hard-earned, and we have to cherish it and protect it.”

However, 650,000 residents living in quarantined areas will remain confined. Zeng Qun, a city official, said that except for those in lockdown areas, no one “can restrict residents from going out or coming back.”

Shanghai still maintains a series of rules to comply with the zero cases policy of the Chinese Government. Residents have to show a green health code on their cell phones to leave neighborhoods and to access most places.

To enter public transport, banks or shopping centers, you must have a negative PCR test in the last 72 hours. Those who travel to another city will have to quarantine for 7 to 14 days on their return.

The lockdown of the city, China’s financial hub, halted the country’s economic development. The central and local governments have announced measures to boost the economy in the second half of the year, with the relaxation of taxes or subsidies to small businesses.

The decree is made months after the Central Bank announced the illegality of all activities related to digital currencies.

The information disseminated by specialized media indicated that the “Popular Court has formed a unified opinion on the legal position of Bitcoin and identified it as a virtual property.”

Cryptocurrency legislation review

In 2020, two citizens filed a lawsuit for the payment of a debt in Bitcoin, but those involved did not reach an agreement and the lawyers took the case to court. This fact forced the court to recognize the currency as virtual currency.

This measure demands that the government authorities review the regulations prohibiting cryptocurrencies, mainly due to the control exercised by the central government over the country’s popular courts.

According to lawyer Liu Yang, the court’s ruling is of great importance as a reference for lawsuits related to cryptocurrencies that may arise among citizens in Shanghai.
