Digitel’s customers have not had any problems with their communications, but on social media they complained about the inability to access the website or top up funds, as well as difficulties with the call centers.

A company source told the portal that they had detected security threats on their system, so they decided to block their servers for a short time to prevent any attacks.

“This block does not interfere with the communication of our customers, who continue to enjoy our service,” the company’s statement states.

They also indicated that the technical and security team is working to neutralize the threat and that they hope that in the coming hours all their portals and service channels will be operational again.

Lenovo’s Budapest plant opened in June 2022 to support customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and address infrastructure needs for high-end PC workstations, storage systems and servers.

As of June 2023, the factory has provided solutions to more than a thousand customers in 69 countries, while its scale and pace of operations have accelerated over the past year, as the company has indicated in a press release.

This factory has allowed the technology firm to distribute one million units, a figure that represents “a sample of the internal and external collaboration” that has taken place in the last year between employees and customers, as pointed out by the Lenovo Factory manager, Szabolcs Zolyomi.

“We have been able to respond to customer needs more effectively, with greater efficiency and control over product development and supply chain operations, all while continuing to uphold our commitment to sustainability and supporting the local community”, added the manager.

Lenovo explains that it built the Budapest manufacturing facility with sustainability in mind, and since its inauguration it has improved thermal insulation, completed the installation of lighting sensor systems, and optimized the use of waste heat from air compressors.

The Hungary factory is part of Lenovo’s global production network, distributed among 35 locations in eight regions to serve customers in 180 markets, including Argentina, Brazil, China, Hungary, India, Japan, Mexico, and the United States.

Since then, it has provided added capabilities to customers running some of the largest supercomputers in Europe, including the Barcelona Supercomputing Center in Spain, the Leibniz Supercomputing Center in Germany and SURF in the Netherlands.

This app uploads the latest photos (with the exception of Live Photos) so that users can view and import them on all the devices available to them. These photos, so far, are stored in My Photo Stream for 30 days.

Therefore, the upload of new photos to the service will stop on June 26, 2023, and it will be on July 26, 2023, when all photos are deleted from iCloud, with the closure of this service.

Apple commented that if users want to keep any photos from My Photo Stream they must be saved locally on each device and has recommended the use of iCloud Photos to keep this content saved and updated.

The company published its latest transparency report, an analysis that it began to carry out in January 2019 and in which it shares data on the actions taken on accounts and servers that participate in the dissemination of false information on the platform.

Usually, Discord prepares these reports in two deliveries a year, which refer to two groups of months of the same year, which are not always the same. In 2022, it has made a report that corresponds to the months of January to March and, the following one, from April to June.

These reports detail the number of accounts that have been disabled for various reasons. Among them, for being spam profiles, accounts that violate the platform’s community policies or that present unsolicited and illegal content.

According to its latest report, between April and June of this year it disabled a total of 767,363 accounts for exceeding its regulations, not including spam. This represents a decrease of 27% compared to the 1,054,358 accounts disabled in the previous quarter.

On the contrary, with respect to accounts deactivated due to spam, the platform indicates that another 27,733,948 accounts were deactivated in the period studied, that is, 6.5% more than in the previous quarter, in which 26,017 were deactivated. .742 accounts.

This determines that in the months between January and June 2022 a total of 55,573,418 Discord accounts were disabled, to which is added the disconnection and elimination of servers of this service.

This week, the company took internal communications and engineering systems offline in response to a security breach that would have given an external actor access to internal company databases.

This security breach would be the result of a social engineering attack directed against one of the employees, from whom he would have gained access to his Slack account, the communication service they use internally, and from there to Uber’s internal systems. , as explained in The New York Times.

According to the testimony of two workers, this external actor sent a message to all employees through Slack, which could read: “I announce that I am a hacker and Uber has suffered a data breach.” He accompanied it with screenshots of internal databases he claimed to have compromised, and contacted various security researchers and The New York Times.

The company confirmed via Twitter that they are “responding to a cybersecurity incident.” We are in contact with the police and will post additional updates here as they become available.

Determining the reliability of the message was extremely difficult because they were sent, according to the Spamhaus report they were issued from the “LEEP website (Law Enforcemente Enterprislos e Portal), a secure platform for law enforcement agencies and intelligence groups.”

The content of the email is false, but its origin comes from one of the servers of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States, using the IPs and login information that are normally used to issue official information.

Large-scale attacks

The hackers used legitimate email addresses that were taken from the database of a non-profit organization called the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN).

Spamhaus considers this message to be small evidence of a large-scale attack targeting “Vinny Troia, the founder of the dark web intelligence company Shadowbyte” and said it is not the first time that it has received such threats.

For its part, the FBI issued a statement confirming the fact, but assures that it does not have more information on the subject and urges users to report any activity they consider suspicious.

Part of the communication states: “The FBI and CISA are aware of the incident involving fake emails from an @ ic.fbi.gov account. This situation is still valid and we are not in a position to provide additional information at this time. We encourage the public to be wary of unknown issuers and to urgently report any activity to www.ic3.gov or www.cisa.gov”.
