On the other hand, the router has other functions beyond providing Internet connection for various tasks at home or in the office, such as updates that it runs overnight, when it detects less use. When it is off, it cannot perform such updates.

The performance and speed of the Wi-Fi router, as well as the stability of the bandwidth, can be affected by periodically turning the device on and off, in addition to facilitating cyberattacks.
