El Salvador, a Central American country that embraces cryptocurrencies, recently unveiled the Satoshi Army art exhibition, showcasing 45 statues that symbolize the union of local culture, national identity, technology, and contemporary art.

The Satoshi Army exhibit “was presented by Satoshigallery at the El Salvador Art Museum, also known as the Marte Museum, with an arrangement reminiscent of China’s historic Terracotta Army.”

The statues in the exhibition are the work of artist Valentina Picozzi. They are made of transparent metal and measure approximately 45 x 30 x 40 cm. This creates “a visual effect of disappearance that directly alludes to Nakamoto’s anonymity.”

The proposal doesn’t focus solely on aesthetics, but rather seeks to convey a collective message about the importance of Bitcoin and virtual assets in general.

Satoshigallery posted on X social media: “The work explores the tension between individual creation and collective movement. Satoshi Nakamoto built Bitcoin in solitude. But millions of people built the ecosystem that gave it meaning. Anonymity doesn’t seem to be a mystery to be solved; it could be an invitation to explore our collective identity.”

Tomorrow we open Satoshi Army at Museo Marte, the leading art museum in El Salvador.

The exhibition features 45 iconic transparent Satoshi statues.
