TikTok, the Chinese video social network, is working on a US-only version amid discussions about its potential sale.

“The new app is expected to be launched in US app stores in September,” according to information published by The Information.

The platform will make the new app, called “M2,” available to users in the United States through app stores on the designated date. Active users on the Chinese network must migrate to the new app.

It is important to remember that the deadline for the company behind the Chinese social network to comply with all requirements of US law is September 17.
