The automaker Tesla sold 241,300 cars in the third quarter of 2021, which is equivalent to 102,000 more cars than last year in the same period, despite the sharp drop in sales recorded by the sector due to shortages in chip production.

For its part, General Motors, the largest US automaker, sold 446,997 in this third quarter, which represents a decline of the order of 33 % compared to the same period last year.

Tesla has managed to overcome the crisis in the sector and has introduced to the market a figure never before registered. “It is the most that Tesla has sold in a quarter and for an additional perspective, the company sold 367,500 in all of 2019″, highlighted its representatives.
