This Monday, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, announced the launch of the road safety campaign “Drive for Life”, with the aim of safeguarding the lives of drivers and pedestrians, in addition to reducing the growing rate of fatal accidents on Venezuelan roads.

According to Saab, this is a joint effort between the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) and public entities that will allow the deployment of “24 superior prosecutors’ offices and 22 specialized prosecutors’ offices, 40 service points, 300 MP officials, 200 Civil Protection personnel, 300 members of the National Traffic Police, 24 road safety classrooms, 120 employees of the National Transport Institute, 70 troops of the Bolivarian National Guard, 45 members of the Municipal Police, 10 officials of the Ministry of Transport and 480 employees of the Ministry of Health.”

The Directorate of Transport, Vehicles and Roads, attached to the General Directorate against Common Crimes and the Executive Branch, governors, mayors and the Communal Branch, are joining this campaign in order to bring to the public the most information through educational material on the consequences of fatal accidents that occur daily throughout the territory.

“The goal is to reduce the rate of fatal accidents in all states and municipalities of the country,” said Saab.
