The social network Twitter has already given something to talk about in the cryptocurrency scenario, with the launch of functions such as the payment of tips in bitcoin.

The most recent announcement has to do with the Twitter Crypto project, in a joint effort with the BlueSky division. The initiative will focus on studying how cryptocurrency communities interact and their benefits for the social network.

The news about the creation of a team of specialists in crypto assets, blockchain, DApps and other decentralized technologies was released from the CEO of Twitter this Wednesday.

To lead the team, Twitter relies on the experience of Tess Rinearson, a member of the board of the Interchain Foundation. In her account on the social network, the expert said: “I am delighted to share that I have joined Twitter, to lead a new team focused on cryptocurrencies, blockchains and other decentralized technologies.”

Among the aspects that the Twitter Crypto team will focus are included the growing interest of creators in the world of cryptocurrencies, the commercialization of these assets, the use of decentralized applications to manage digital assets and currencies.

Rinearson stressed that as the investigations advance, they will seek to establish what cryptocurrencies can do for Twitter and what the social network can do for these assets.
