Apple reduced the production of its iPhone 13 phones by 10 million units from its initial forecasts due to the global shortage of processor supplies that affects the industry.

The American manufacturer cut its production plans for the device, initially marked at 90 million units and which have been adjusted by 80 million, as indicated by international media.

This decision is due to the fact that Apple’s processor component suppliers, Texas Instruments and Broadcomm, have not been able to provide sufficient supplies.

The elements that are scarce are destined to the elaboration of the circuits of the OLED screens of the new iPhone 13, as well as of the components of connectivity to the network.

These supply problems are part of the global shortage that affects the industry of semiconductors, used for the manufacture of processors and that affects brands and electronic devices around the world since mid-2020.
