<p style="text-align: justify;">Sony introduced PlayStation Stars in July, an initiative that allows players to win<strong> prizes for completing different campaigns and activities, from which they earn loyalty points</strong> that can later be redeemed in a catalog that will include funds for the <strong>PlayStation Network (</strong>PSN) wallet and certain <strong>PlayStation Store</strong> products.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This Thursday it debuted in <strong>Asia</strong>, including Japan, in a regional launch that precedes that of <strong>North America</strong> and <strong>South America</strong> (October 5) and, finally, that of Australia and the <strong>European market,</strong> where it will arrive on October 13, as reported in its Blog.</p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="wp-image-86764 alignleft" src="https://bitfinance.news/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/playstation-stars-gp_6187276.jpg" alt="playstation" width="506" height="285" srcset="https://bitfinance.news/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/playstation-stars-gp_6187276.jpg 600w, https://bitfinance.news/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/playstation-stars-gp_6187276-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">One of the characteristic elements of this loyalty program are the <strong>so-called &#8216;Digital Collectibles&#8217;,</strong> digital representations of characteristic elements of the console universe, such as iconic characters and devices that are part of the company&#8217;s history.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Sony has already clarified that these are not non-fungible tokens (NFTs)</strong> nor do they use blockchain technology, and therefore they <strong>cannot be exchanged or sold.</strong></p>
