According to the technology company, “these integrations expand Gemini’s ability to streamline communication,” as well as “help you write and send texts, offering suggestions such as saying hello to someone or rewriting a message.”

However, it is important to note that it is not possible to “read or summarize messages, work with multimedia files, or respond to notifications.”

In any case, customers enjoy the phone application that facilitates calls by understanding natural language instructions. That is, the person can give the order to call a contact, commercial establishment, or organize the purchase of a product. Another advantage of the extension is that it helps you locate “businesses and summarize reviews before you make a call.”

In the case of the WhatsApp messaging app, it becomes the first third-party Gemini extension that allows you to “send messages or make calls directly through the platform. Commands include typing messages or calling contacts by name or number.”

Google has indicated that the extensions are enabled by default, but it may be necessary to restart the Gemini or Google app for them to appear. At the moment, access to them is limited.

Apple stores and company-authorized services will “soon” include work on the FaceID sensor individually among their repair services, MacRumors has learned, citing internal documents to which it has had access.

This novelty will allow to work on the TrueDepth camera module, where both the FaceID sensor and the front camera lenses are located, which will avoid having to replace the entire phone.

These repairs will be available for phone models from iPhone XS, leaving out iPhone X from 2017, the first to introduce FaceID, according to the aforementioned media.

It would be a way to reduce electronic waste, and also a service in principle more affordable for the customer, although the prices of the repair have not been shared.

The documents consulted also indicate that the official technical personnel will be able to use the diagnostic service to determine the type of work needed: the repair of the FaceID unit, the complete replacement of this unit or the repair of the “rear system of iPhone.”

“The Flemish Scrollers” as Deporter’s digital art work is known, is a system that automatically tags legislators in the Parliament of Flanders in Belgium when it detects that they are using the smartphone during a meeting.

How does it work?

To achieve this, it first analyzes through an AI algorithm written in the popular Python programming language, the video of all the sessions that is broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Parliament of Flanders.

In the event that there are no live broadcasts, previous videos of the channel are analyzed, according to its author through a statement.

The developed tool works automatically, and uses machine learning to detect mobile devices in the videos and facial recognition to identify each politician.

In the images shared on the system, a white box is shown that identifies each official with a degree of probability, and another green box with a percentage analyzes the probability that they have the mobile in their hands.

Warning

In case of detecting a politician distracted on the phone, the system automatically shares a capture through Twitter or Instagram, tagging the account of the character in question, along with a message asking him to keep his attention.
