Within the framework of bilateral strategic agreements, the governments of Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China formalized on Wednesday, April 17, the protocol for commercial flights between both countries.

The Minister of Transportation and president of the Venezuelan Consortium of Aeronautical Industries and Air Services (Conviasa), Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, described the agreement as a sample of “brotherhood and cooperation.”

In his account on the social network, the Venezuelan official indicated that “Conviasa will soon materialize the air bridge to facilitate exchange between Venezuela and China. This action is part of the agreements established between the Government of Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China.”

During the XVII Meeting of the High-Level Joint Commission (2023) between both countries, the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported the signing of “31 working documents, among which this commercial flight agreement stands out.”

The start of commercial flights between Venezuela and China is part of these negotiations.

For its part, the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) indicated at the beginning of the commercial flights it will facilitate the exchange between both towns.
