The Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA began the installation of new automated gasoline pumps in Caracas. According to the Minister of Petroleum, Pedro Rafael Tellechea, this initiative will soon be extended to the rest of the country to end user queues.

Tellechea indicated on Friday, June 14, that “333 new pumps have already been installed in 176 gasoline stations. The equipment brought from China has a touch screen where the payment operation can be made” in alliance with the Bank of Venezuela, expanding the payment method with debit and credit cards at the pump itself, QR code and mobile payment.

The minister of oil and president of PDVSA was also present on Friday at the installation of the dispenser at a service station located in the Altamira urbanization in Caracas.

Tellechea explained “that 850 pumps have already arrived from China and that with the 2024-2025 plan they are expected to be installed in the 1,800 gas stations throughout the country.”

He highlighted that these modern equipment “allow self-dispatch and promise speed in payment, since the driver of a 40-liter vehicle will take 20 seconds to complete the process.”

The business plan began with the CMI14 well, the first of 17, which “represents an important milestone for increasing the production of this joint venture, under the premise of operational excellence.”

The joint work of PDVSA Petroindependencia and Chevron ratifies the commitment to boost the main Venezuelan industry, “providing the barrels of crude oil necessary for the well-being of the Venezuelan people, complying with the recovery plan for the oil industry” of President Nicolás Maduro Moros.

As a result of the reception of the first 100 tankers that arrived in the country as a result of the alliance between the government of Venezuela and the People’s Republic of China to strengthen fuel distribution plans, this Thursday through Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), assigned five tankers each loaded with 38 thousand liters of fuel destined for the state of Sucre.

The governor of the entity, Gilberto Pinto, was in charge of receiving said assignment, along with members of his regional team, community representatives, and authorities of the state oil company, among them the vice president of Commerce and National Supply, Juan Carlos Díaz; the director of the Internal Market of the MinPetróleo, Ray Delmoral and the general manager of the National Transportation Company (ENT), Maridelf Díaz.

The officials made it clear that on behalf of Minister Pedro Rafael Tellechea and following the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro, they confirmed that the state of Sucre received these transport units, which are extremely useful for the transportation of fuel.

Strengthening fuel distribution plans

“Minister Tellechea, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, has entrusted us with ensuring that the states receive the distribution of these first 100 tankers and that they also arrive loaded with fuel since our processes are continuous, because the objective is to increasingly reinforce logistics in the office for the tranquility of all sectors, reported Juan Carlos Díaz.

The endowment comes to “strengthen the agro-industrial sector, public transportation and all economic sectors of the state, as well as more than 90 thousand vehicles that circulate in Sucre, more than 10 thousand fishermen and the entire fishing and industrial fleet,” Pinto reported.
