The Venezuelan television service, SimpleTV, announced that from now on its users will be able to pay their monthly rents through cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin, litecoin, dash, etehreum, tether USD, xpt (erc-20).

In order to implement the measure, by mid-April, the television station owned by the Chilean fund Scale Capital made an alliance with the firm Cryptobuyer, which will be in charge of processing this type of payments.

This union is part of the fintech company’s strategy to continue promoting the use of cryptocurrencies within Venezuela.

“It is an important step that even pays for the possibility of access to entertainment and information, even more demanded by the confinement,” said Jorge Farías, CEO and founder of Cryptobuyer, after the announcement.

The executive stressed the importance of creating alternative payment methods in line with global developments and thanked his allies for their confidence in the work that Cryptobuyer is doing to make effective and functional contributions.
