The payments company Nuvei has launched a platform to support almost 40 crypto assets, including little-known currencies such as: Reddcoin, Steem, Bitcoin Gold and Siacoin.

Likewise, Nuvei clients can even use Ripple (XRP), despite the asset’s recent legal problems and its subsequent withdrawal from the lists of major exchanges.

Both sending and receiving payments can be made in 200 countries around the world, which ensures “the empowerment of our customers, large and small, with frictionless payment experiences and a greater opportunity to participate in a global market”, such as reported Philip Fayer, CEO and President of Nuvei.

In the last quarter of 2020, Nuvei processed nearly $ 14 billion from merchants, and the company handled $ 43 billion in all of 2020. These figures make Nuvei the competition for other traditional payment platforms.

So far this year, companies such as Visa, PayPal and Buyaladdin have announced the start of activities under blockchain technology, in order to settle transactions made in fiat, offer cryptocurrency services to their users and make online purchases.
