Sony introduced PlayStation Stars in July, an initiative that allows players to win prizes for completing different campaigns and activities, from which they earn loyalty points that can later be redeemed in a catalog that will include funds for the PlayStation Network (PSN) wallet and certain PlayStation Store products.

This Thursday it debuted in Asia, including Japan, in a regional launch that precedes that of North America and South America (October 5) and, finally, that of Australia and the European market, where it will arrive on October 13, as reported in its Blog.

A Treasury spokesman said: “This will create the conditions for issuers and repair providers to operate and develop in the UK, while ensuring financial stability and high regulatory requirements.”

Likewise, the Treasury Department spokesperson stressed that the entity “does not plan to incorporate algorithmic stable currencies within the laws, saying that they do not ensure stability. Terrausd (UST) is an instance of an algorithmic stablecoin.”

For his part, the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, explained that the plan will certify that the UK currency industry is always at the forefront of technology and innovation.

Crypto property regulation plan

The Treasury spokesman pointed out that the laws that will allow stable currencies to be regulated, as well as the sites that can be used as a means of payment, are part of the Money Markets and Services Bill presented during the speech made to the Queen.

As will be remembered, recently Prince Charles delivered the speech detailing the UK government’s legislative agenda in which “particularly cryptographic ownership” is contemplated.

A detailed plan is contemplated within the regulatory agenda “to make the nation a world cryptographic center and a suitable place for cryptocurrencies.”

This plan aims to create a “dynamic regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies, regulate stablecoins and deal with the Royal Mint to create a non-fungible token (NFT),” the spokesperson explained.

The firm Fulgur Ventures announced that it will grant a scholarship to the Venezuelan engineer Francisco Calderón to be part of the development team of the RGB sidechain, an open source project that seeks to facilitate smart contracts in bitcoin.

This fact represents the first time that a Venezuelan is part of a work team within the bitcoin network, according to public records in this regard.

RGB is a protocol that allows, for example, to issue non-fungible tokens (NFT), based on the Lightning network, bitcoin’s second layer solution.

The developer assured that these types of projects go in the direction that he believes is the correct one, in terms of the goal of having functional smart contracts in Bitcoin, without sacrificing the integrity of the main network of this protocol.

“If we are going to have smart contracts, it is better that they are off-chain and that the blockchain only serves to validate. That is the path we plan to follow, what we are working on. Much remains to be done but the idea is to have smart contracts in bitcoin in the Full Turing language: that the scripts are run elsewhere and that they are validated by the Bitcoin blockchain.”

Specifically, the profits from the trading of these types of tokens generated 2.5 billion dollars during the first six months of the year, about 13.7 million more than the same period of 2020.

The month with more sales was June when there were reached revenues of 150 million dollars, a figure that exceeds by 1,000 % what was achieved in the rest of the months.

NFT buyers and fans consider them unique digital collectibles with intrinsic value because of their cultural significance. Others treat them simply as investments, speculating on rising prices.

The sale that generated the most was that of the famous artist Beeple, with his work “Everydays: The first 500 days“, which reached a revenue of 69 million dollars in March.

NFT’s transaction volume has multiplied more than 25 times since December 2020, as NFTs usher in a new paradigm of interaction with culture, music, sports and the media.

Today started the auction by Sotheby’s of a NFT pack that includes almost 10,000 lines of WWW code and the implementations of the three languages developed by Berners-Lee: HTML (HyperText Markup Language, the markup language for the elaboration of web pages), HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), and URI (Uniform Resource Identifier).

It also includes some documents that explain how to use the application, considered the first browser in history; an animation of the code as it is being written and a letter written by Berners-Lee in 2021 reflecting on the creation of the WWW.

The engineer clarifies that with the auction he is not selling the Web, that it will continue to be “free and free”, as always, since “the central codes and protocols of the web are free of rights.”

He also points out that with this auction he is not selling the source code, but rather “an image” that he made with a Python program that he wrote, “of what the source code would look like if it were posted on the wall and signed by me.”

NFT is a technology based on ‘blockchain’ that guarantees the authenticity of a file in digital format as a work of art, as well as who is its owner. Berners-Lee says he has always been interested in whether this technology could be used to fund creative people, such as artists or musicians.

The video is, according to the family of the children who appear init, the most watched viral on YouTube, with more than 885 million views. It was going to be removed a day after the auction organized on May 22 to sell their NFT.

The removal of the material was previously announced to increase its sale price, according to statements made by the children’s father Howard Davies-Carr in an interview with Quartz.

Davies-Carr reported in the same interview that the new owner, 3F Music, a music studio in Dubai, has decided to keep the video on YouTube despite having acquired its NFT at auction on May 22 for $ 760,999 because he felt that “it is an important part of popular culture and it should not be eliminated.”

The 56-second viral video was posted 14 years ago by the channel now called HDCYT, and shows Charlie, a then one-year-old baby, biting the finger of his three-year-old brother Harry.

3F Music has recently also acquired other NFTs such as the psychopathic girlfriend meme (‘Overly Attached Girlfriend’), for $ 411,000; the NYT meta column on NFT, for $ 560,000, and the ‘Disaster Girl’ meme, for $ 500,000.

On the other hand, the platform also used by collectors could apply the use of NFTs, which consists of non-fungible tokens that can be collectible by users.

Those responsible for eBay confirmed those intentions in a statement, adding that they are always observing the most relevant forms of payment and, “although we do not have immediate plans, cryptocurrencies are something we are paying attention to.”

These eBay moves may be due to the growing threat posed by other platforms such as Shopify, which had excellent tax results, while eBay is disappointing and underperforming the market.

It is a collage created by artist Beeple, who worked on it daily for 13 and a half years.

In a statement, Christie’s explained that the piece “Everydays: the first 5,000 days“, consists of an image in JPG format, and is the first completely digital work of art auctioned off such a large house.

The work has a unique non-fungible token (NFC), a technology based on blockchain integrated to guarantee its authenticity in the digital format and that also allows its sale to be carried out through the cryptocurrency Ether.

Beeple began the work on May 1st, 2007 with a drawing by the artist’s uncle, Jim, and continues with images of all kinds created during his lifetime. One of them, from September 2013, he created it in three minutes before taking his wife to the hospital to give birth, and another created in 2014 and with the text “kill me”, whichhe made after suffering food poisoning.

The mozaico closes on the 5,000th day, January 7 of this year, and incorporates recurring characters from his caricatured work such as Donald Trump. Michael Jackson, Kim Jong-un, Mickey Mouse, Pikachu, Buzz Lightyear, and Mario.
