The prize money amounts to US$ 4.29 million.

For the first time in its history, Spain obtains the title in a women’s soccer world cup. The words of praise have not been long in coming, starting with the Spanish Royal House through their social networks, where they described the team as “the best”.

The funds for the teams have been tripled by FIFA compared to 2019. In the 2023 Women’s World Cup, the 150 million euros have been distributed among the federations as follows: group stage: US$ 1.56 million round of 16 final US$1.87 million; quarterfinals: $2.18 million; fourth place US$ 2,455 million; third place US$ 2.61 million; runners-up US$3.015 million and champions US$4.29 million.

Regarding the prize money for each player according to the phase they have reached in the 2023 Women’s World Cup, the figures are as follows: Group phase US$30,000; round of 16 US$60,000; quarterfinals US$90,000; fourth place US$165,000; third place US$180,000; runners-up US$195,000 and champions US$270,000.

The numbers continue to favor men’s soccer, with a difference of 65 %, taking into account that in the past World Cup in Qatar 2022, the amount awarded in cash was US$440 million.

“The EU and New Zealand share a very special relationship. I call it ‘being very close, from very far'”, the Latvian politician said during the signing ceremony, accompanied by the New Zealand Minister of Commerce, Damien O’Connor.

“We will not be close neighbors in terms of geography, but we are close in almost every other way: in terms of politics, culture and values. We are dynamic export economies. We are strong advocates of meaningful climate action,” he added in his speech.

“This historic agreement will unlock new opportunities for EU companies and our farmers and is also the most sustainable free trade agreement ever signed,” he added on his Twitter account.

The agreement between the European Union and New Zealand is called to increase trade between the two regions by 30 %, especially in agriculture but also in other key areas, and community experts expect European investments in the oceanic country to grow by up to 80 %. The rights paid by EU companies from the first year of application may also be reduced by around 140 million euros per year.

In agricultural matters, the EU welcomes the end of tariffs for most of its exports, including pork, chocolate and wine; In addition to highlighting that this agreement ensures the protection of nearly 2,000 wines and spirits with a European designation of origin, such as Rioja, and nearly 200 Geographical Indications, especially cheeses such as Manchego.

Dombrovskis ended his speech with his sincere thanks to Minister O’Connor, “a tough but fair negotiator”, as well as his own negotiating team of Peter Berz and Vangelis Vitalis. “I hope that we can now quickly complete the ratification process in New Zealand and within the EU itself so that it enters into force as soon as possible,” he concluded.

At the moment, there are five episodes, available as activity cards, which will be updated weekly. In them, the invited artists – Dolly Parton, Draymond Green, Shawn Mendes and Uzo Aduba – share stories or songs that the user can also save for later.
