“Account lock allows each user to keep their YouTube for TV activity private. Once the code is set up, it will be required to access the account from the TV app,” particularly when the device is shared.

As the company has reported, once the user sets the code, they can also unlock their account from the YouTube mobile app. “When you select a blocked account on your TV, the app will display the option to enable access; those who have notifications enabled will also receive a push notification.”

Advantages of PIN lock

Undoubtedly, the PIN will prevent other people using the same TV from accessing the recommendations, subscriptions, and search history of a specific account. Furthermore, the tool allows each user to keep their experience separate on a shared device.

In addition, Google strengthens security by allowing you to view the devices where an account is “signed in” at google.com/devices. From there, you can remotely sign out of forgotten or unrecognized devices.

How to activate the lock:

–Open the YouTube app on your TV and access your account from the left navigation menu.

-Select the “Account settings” button, below your profile.

–Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the lock and set the four-digit code.

Although for now it is only a concept, the presentation video of these glasses generates an idea of what the company is capable of.

The lenses weigh just 51g and are 2.4mm x 2.02mm thick and have a peak brightness of 2 million nits. “They have optical waveguide technology, so that the light is projected only towards the person wearing the lenses.”

Xiaomi Smart Glasses can show messages and notifications, make calls, navigate, capture photos and translate text right before your eyes and although it can be connected to the smartphone, the company has been emphatic in pointing out that it is not a second screen of the phone and they have autonomy and proper functions.

In addition, they come with a 5 MP camera, which allows you to take photos and translate the text instantly, which can be sent or shared with other devices. Using the smart glasses it will not be necessary to review the road navigation instructions in an external GPS since it will be possible to observe which steps to follow to get to each place.

All these features are possible because the glasses are equipped with an ARM processor with 4 cores, “Wi-Fi modules, bluetooth, autonomous battery and Android operating system”. These glasses demonstrate the growth that the Chinese company has been obtaining in the West with this type of gadget.

Known under the code name “Columbus”, the double tap is the heir to a function that Google has already developed for Android 11, although at the time of the launch of the operating system the tool was not integrated into that version, despite appearing announcements prior to publication.

LG has officially shown Rollable, with a demo of its resizable screen simulating the follow-up of its event at CES through this mobile device. Held in the hand, it goes from a smartphone size to a tablet size, and vice versa, without altering the content being viewed.

The operation of this roll-up smartphone is focused on horizontal use, so that the OLED screen will extend along the sides of the phone. This solution allows the hinge pressure to dissipate over a larger area.

It is the second smartphone within LG’s Explorer Project, and the first details of its development were known in early July last year.

At the end of the CES 2021 conference, LG noted that there is “more to explore,” at which point it unveiled the name of the device, while picking up the roll-up screen.
