In the next three years, Venezuela hopes to meet the goal of installing 2,000 watts of solar energy to benefit, in a first stage, the most remote populations.

According to the announcement made this week by the Ministry of Electric Power, this is a new step within the framework of the Alternative Energies Plan, which is carried out in Venezuelan territory thanks to important national and international agreements.

The Ministry of Electric Power has worked since last year together with the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) in the evaluation of favorable conditions to create solar energy parks that will provide stability and sustainability to the national electric system.

On its Instagram account, the Ministry of Electric Power published a video where it clarifies: “In a first phase, this plan includes the development of 2,000 solar watts, starting with 500 megawatts that will be built in the states of Zulia, Falcón and Lara, to later implement a second and third phase that will include different states in the center and west of the country”.

It is expected that this installation plan for 2,000 watts of solar energy will strengthen the electrical system in Venezuela, and in this way correct the innumerable failures and interruptions that impair the correct development of daily and industrial activities in the territory.
