We had been trying for a while, and we had obstacles in other banks, but with Bancamiga the process was very fast,” she said.

Marlyn Yépez, leader of Cacao del Valle, said the following: “I think the support that Bancamiga is giving to entrepreneurs is excellent because we all learn to identify what it is that we really want, what motivates us, what strengthens us, what we need to go from entrepreneurs to businessmen.”

Darvis Sanabria, manager of Dals Café, said that when you have a business “you need a lot of training.
The program allowed the forum Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Tools and Opportunities to be held, designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge to start or consolidate their businesses. The topics addressed included ideation, business model, financial management, marketing, sales and Bancamiga’s portfolio of financial products for entrepreneurs.

José Simón Elarba, President of the Board of Directors of Bancamiga, assured that the institution is committed to the development of the country; “to promote the entrepreneurial culture of Venezuelans, encouraging the creation of new companies and innovative projects; generating employment and self-employment opportunities; strengthening the economy of communities.”

Community entrepreneurship is supported by Bancamiga

The conferences of the forum in La Vega were given by the entrepreneurship and innovation coach, Luis Moreno, and by Marta Lucero, brand advisor and strategic marketing facilitator, who provided keys so that people with business initiatives can enhance their essential skills.

“When you come to La Vega, you see hundreds of businesses on the road. Each house has become a productive unit, and I believe that this is the wealth of community entrepreneurship. People have understood that wealth is created through hard work. Here we have more than 100 entrepreneurs who have businesses running in the parish and have decided to grow,” said Moreno.

Bancamiga’s business development program allows anyone with a business idea, regardless of their level of experience or academic training, to have the support of expert mentors in different areas, as well as the possibility of establishing contacts with other entrepreneurs and small business owners.

It is convenient and easy to formalize the ventures

Oskayda Alvarado, manager of Entrepreneurship at Bancamiga Banco Universal, participated in the forum and recommended that attendees formalize their ventures, as well as manage their finances through banking instruments, so that they can consolidate an identity with the bank to obtain financing that allows them to grow.

For “those who need to boost their business models, we have financing options. Credits for entrepreneurs and CrediMujer; and for microentrepreneurs we have microcredits,” she said.

“The information to apply for credits was very good; all the conferences today were very good. They motivate one to continue fighting for what one wants in this country,” said John Bustillo, leader of the gastronomic venture Exquisiteces Busqgm.

At the end of the conference cycle, Tarín Díaz, owner of the Estudio GAD beauty center, acknowledged that Bancamiga “is determined to support entrepreneurs” and attended the activity “interested in credits and in acquiring a point of sale” for her business.

Bancamiga’s social responsibility management has taken its training program for entrepreneurs and small business owners to communities in Gran Caracas such as Petare, El Cementerio, La Pastora and Quebrada Honda, among others. It has also held online seminars to which participants from all over the country have connected, the banking institution concludes and explains in a statement.

The public had the opportunity to listen to lectures by Luis Moreno, entrepreneurship and innovation coach, and Martha Lucero, brand advisor and strategic marketing facilitator.

Likewise, Oskayda Alvarado, Entrepreneurship Manager of Bancamiga, participated, who presented the bank’s portfolio of financial instruments, highlighting the options aimed at entrepreneurs who intend to promote the production of goods and services to join the economic development of the country.

Expert support with Bancamiga Banco Universal

“I think it is a great initiative by Bancamiga to be able to give this training opportunity to entrepreneurs from popular communities. I think it is a very important investment, because it is boosting the productive capacity” of Venezuelans, said speaker Luis Moreno.

For her part, brand expert Martha Lucero highlighted that “entrepreneurship has been one of the responses of Venezuelans to get ahead. But one of the difficulties encountered is that people are not professionals in entrepreneurship,” but with “training like these, entrepreneurs have the necessary information to do it well.”

Tools that promote the production of goods and services

Karelis Caraballo, leader of the Mia Alegrías decorations business, thanked the forum for holding it: “I feel that it is a program of growth, feedback and advancement for us entrepreneurs, by giving us tools to do things well. I am a Bancamiga customer and I recommend them one hundred percent.”

Mónica Ramos said that she is developing a business manufacturing aromatic candles and stated when leaving the forum that she thought it was “excellent, they gave us many tools that I didn’t know about, not only to undertake but also rules. Very good information about economics, production, how to make a client fall in love with you.”

“I have high expectations, with a great desire to continue entrepreneurship, to continue growing and betting on Venezuela and to continue making a quality product for all people,” said Lisbeth Villegas, who runs the Cachapas Cinco Estrellas gastronomic venture.

These training activities, organized with the support of public and private organizations, seek to strengthen the capabilities of microentrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, ratifying the bank’s social responsibility policy, established by the president of the Board of Directors of Bancamiga Banco Universal, Carmelo De Grazia, with the purpose of contributing to the economic development of the country.

At both meetings, Bancamiga’s Director of Social Responsibility, Milagro González, welcomed the participants, who were then able to listen to lectures by experts such as Mauricio Parilli, director of Aprendo y Emprendo, who spoke about the maturation and growth of ventures towards sustainability. The innovation coach, Luis Moreno, explained how knowing your customers allows you to increase business development.

Oskayda Alvarado, Entrepreneurship Manager at Bancamiga, presented the financing opportunities and the portfolio of products and services for small entrepreneurs. Likewise, on each day, there were talks dedicated to providing marketing keys and digital channels to boost sales.

Training from Petare to refine the microenterprise

One of the training sessions was held at the César Rengifo Theater, where about 250 Emprender Juntos participants gathered, who exceeded the capacity of this space located in the Historic Center of Petare, said Yoana Díaz Tovar, coordinator of this platform in the Sucre municipality of Miranda state.

“The expectations of this meeting are broad, strengthened by the private bank, which has taken us into account and is making firm alliances with entrepreneurs,” he celebrated.

The representative to the National Assembly for the state of Miranda, Gabriela Chacón, assured that the forum for entrepreneurs “is a luxury, because not all private banks have the intention or insistence to share the joint responsibility of promoting entrepreneurship.”

Bancamiga products and services

At the César Rengifo Theater, the forum participants benefited from an account opening operation to obtain the Mastercard Debit Card, the acquisition of Bancamiga Points of Sale and advice on the services that the bank offers to small business owners.

“Bancamiga is strengthening new entrepreneurs to get ahead in this economic situation. With this help, we can move forward with a business. The attention has been very good. We are very grateful for this opportunity that they give people to express themselves with their knowledge, put it to the test and take advantage of it, and no longer be dependent for having their own work alternative,” said Luis Noriega, gastronomic entrepreneur.

Dayana Ortega, who sells Creole chocolates and sweets, attended the forum to “take advantage of the Bancamiga event to open accounts and acquire products such as points of sale, with the full intention of strengthening our businesses and helping the people to continue undertaking, continue creating and continue believing in our country.”

Entrepreneur movement

The second training day for Bancamiga entrepreneurs took place in the Auditorium of the National Pipeline Institute, in Chuao, which brought together more than 100 representatives of the Manuelita Sáenz Women’s Movement and the Great Transportation Mission.

Eliana Salazar, president of the Manuelita Sáenz Women’s Movement, thanked the organized entrepreneurs for their support, through training “to nourish us, grow and transform us.” Likewise, he described the training day as an example of “integration” of public institutions and private companies.

The forum “has strengthened me a lot, because I had no knowledge in several subjects. This is nourishing me to consolidate my entrepreneurship and formalize it. It is very important to study to undertake. It is very important that the private banking sector supports us,” said Lenis Llamoza, entrepreneur in the gastronomic field.

“This day has been excellent, with a good team of trainers with a lot of information. I took all the tools with me, I didn’t know many points,” said Mary Moreno, who is dedicated to the production and marketing of Greek yogurt.

Mecelenia Ortiz, Training Coordinator of the Manuelita Sáenz Women’s Movement, said that the training activity represents “an important motivation, because the majority of the participants have already worked on their entrepreneurship ideas, they just require tools, knowledge so that they can elevate their production.”
