The social network Twitter is working on a new long content format for its platform known as Twitter Articles, or articles, in which the current maximum limit of 280 characters per publication could be exceeded.

The reverse developer, Jane Manchun Wong, noticed in the application code the presence of a build regarding the new Twitter Articles feature, as she explained through her personal account on the platform.

Twitter could expand the number of characters

The code of the service shows that the new Articles will be an element that the user can create, which points to the possibility that it is a new type of long-form content, as Wong herself pointed out.

Currently, the tweet length limit is 280 characters, although originally the platform only allowed posts of a maximum of 140 characters, the same as SMS.
