The New York Justice Department released a second batch of court documents relating to the case of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. These files, declassified on Thursday, add to the initial disclosure made on Wednesday, shedding new light on the scandal of child trafficking and sexual abuse.

The delivery, reported by EFE, consists of more than 300 pages and includes witness statements, emails as key evidence and other court documents. This material is part of a 2015 defamation suit filed by Virginia Giuffre, a leading Epstein prosecutor, against Ghislaine Maxwell, the financier’s examiner and partner.

Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for complicity in child sexual abuse, has been in the spotlight because of her relationship with Epstein. The declassified documents reveal connections between the late financier and high-profile figures, including Prince Andrew of England and former President Bill Clinton.

It is important to note that being mentioned in these documents does not imply guilt. The content ranges from anecdotes provided by witnesses to lists of people potentially interviewed during the investigation.

Judge Loretta Preska of the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York ordered the release of these previously sealed documents as of January 1st. The declassification offers a deeper look at the network of relationships in the Epstein case, revealing the identities of more than a hundred people linked to this scandalous affair.
