According to statements by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Investment Promotion, Johann Álvarez Márquez, during the 6th International Import Exhibition taking place in Shanghai, “soon, the Chinese brothers will also enjoy shrimp, fish, blue crab, octopus and cucumber from the Venezuelan sea.”

The Venezuelan official stressed that Venezuela is working in other sectors of national production for export, mainly “products from the livestock sector such as cattle, chicken and their byproducts.”

This exchange would not be possible if China had not previously approved the corresponding health permits and other protocols for exports from Venezuela.

In this sense, the Venezuelan minister highlighted that among the permits granted is the one corresponding to all mung bean production to the Asian country.
