The Tamagotchi Pix virtual pet arrives repowered and ready to be the distraction of many children. The device of Japanese origin now incorporates a camera, touch buttons and new functionalities.

After its first launch more than 23 years ago, Tamagotchi arrives on the market maintaining its same egg appearance as in the 90s and the buttons that were located under the screen are now found as touch buttons next to a new and fun color display.

All the functions of the device have been enhanced by updating its interaction with the public. Among them the following stand out: the possibility of painting, cooking together with this virtual companion or moving around the real world to discover and meet new Tamagotchi friends.

To use the pet it is not necessary that the device be connected to an internet network, and if you want to connect with another Tamagotchi it can be done through a QR code. It is expected that from August it will allow you to connect online to expand experience with new quests, items and gifts.

Having the option to switch to several languages, including Spanish, the device has two presentations, purple and pink. The price is 59.99 euros and is expected to reach franchises and toy stores from May this year.

The Japanese conglomerate SoftBank Group plans to invest this year about 1 billion dollars from its Latin American private equity fund due to the possible boost of technological growth in the region due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are seeing a lot of opportunities at the moment, including companies of agricultural technology“, indicated the administrator of the fund, Paulo Passoni, in declarations collected by Bloomberg.

Passoni noted that around 70 % of the fund’s investments will continue to be in Brazil, but he also recognized opportunities in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.

The fund, endowed with 5,000 million dollars, has already invested 2.300 million dollars in some Latin companies such as Banco Inter, Rappi and Gympass.

At the end of 2020, the value of these investments reached $ 3 billion after the global rise in the shares of the different companies.

On the other hand, Passoni indicated that the shares of Brazilian Bank Inter have already risen more than 60 % this year, which brings the fund’s participation in the financial institution to more than 1,000 million dollars.
