The data was recently revealed by the president of the National Association of Automotive Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea), Igor Calvet, who added that Chinese cars accounted for 55 % of all vehicle imports to Brazil in nine months, which represents 11.3 % of the national market.

Along with cars imported from China, production at Chinese plants located in Brazil has also increased, contributing 69 % to the total growth in light vehicle sales over nine months.
