Apple reduced the production of its iPhone 13 phones by 10 million units from its initial forecasts due to the global shortage of processor supplies that affects the industry.

The American manufacturer cut its production plans for the device, initially marked at 90 million units and which have been adjusted by 80 million, as indicated by international media.

This decision is due to the fact that Apple’s processor component suppliers, Texas Instruments and Broadcomm, have not been able to provide sufficient supplies.

The elements that are scarce are destined to the elaboration of the circuits of the OLED screens of the new iPhone 13, as well as of the components of connectivity to the network.

These supply problems are part of the global shortage that affects the industry of semiconductors, used for the manufacture of processors and that affects brands and electronic devices around the world since mid-2020.

The iPhone 13 family is official, with its new new design and the A15 Bionic processor inside, and will begin to hit the market from September 24, with prices starting at $ 900 for the most basic iPhone 13 model. mini and that go up to $ 2,000 for the largest capacity iPhone 13 Pro Max.

iPhone 13, the standard model that gives its name to Apple’s new family of smartphones, will be available in three capacity configurations: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The same capacity options can also be found in iPhone 13 mini, the little brother of this series. Within the more advanced models, the capacity options expand to find the 1TB option.

The most advanced member, iPhone 13 Pro Max has the following prices and capacities: $ 1,300 (128GB), $ 1,400 (256GB), 1,700 (512GB) and $ 1,900 (1TB).

The four devices will hit the market on September 24, although they can be reserved from Friday 17 of this month. The iPhone 13 and 13 mini will be available in Pink, Blue, Black, Star White and (PRODUCT) red, while iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will be available in Graphite, Gold, Silver and Alpine Blue.
