Twitter will have a new bitcoin tipping feature that will make it easier for users to execute financial transactions without leaving the app. The social network is already testing the new function and it is estimated that it may be available before the end of 2021.

Alessandro Paluzzi, mobile developer of the Twitter platform, recently published an image about the appearance of the messaging network “with the new update of payments with bitcoin”. The affiliation would be executed through the tipping service, but there is no fixed date of when it would be permanently available, for now there is “testnet mode”.

Some people related to the instant messaging company indicated that the “mobile application will integrate both custodial and non-custodial wallets”, expanding the possibilities for investors when making transfers.

Bet on bitcoin

Last July, in the framework of a conference on the earnings of the company during the second quarter of the year, the CEO of the social network Twitter, Jack Dorsey, expressed that the digital currency could be part of the platform. “Bitcoin will be a big part of the future of the company.”

He also expressed: “If the Internet has a native currency, a global currency, we can move much faster with new products such as super followers, digital sales, subscriptions and tips and we can reach everyone on the planet.
