The 2022 World Cup is the excuse to test various security systems based on new technologies. The transfer of people with drones is included as a novelty in this sporting event, since the inaugural flight is expected to take place.

In a joint effort by the international consulting firm Impact Strategy, with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the Globalvia group, the first drones to mobilize people are ready.

According to spokesmen for both companies, this effort seeks to “reduce pollution, traffic and travel times between the most frequented areas during the competition.”

Humberto De Cal, managing partner of Impact Strategy, has pointed out about the eVOTOL technique, that the aircraft will fly at an estimated height between 800 and 1,000 meters, with a load of up to 1,000 kilos and navigation using radio frequency technology and internet.

As is known, they use vertiports for embarkation and disembarkation. The journeys have an estimated time of five minutes. Both companies have made every effort to prevent hacking of networks and thus provide security and confidence to passengers.

The eVOLT have “two security batteries that are only activated in case the usual ones do not work and allow two trips each. The artificial intelligence part is coordinated by Big Data systems that analyze the routes, the meteorology, the weather and the distances among other factors.”

Humberto De Cal stated that those interested in the service must make a reservation through the NextNorth application, which includes control of all stages of the service.
