“In the Heart of Caracas” is an innovative meeting space that simplifies and makes Galipan cuisine and traditions available to many – in everyday life and without major travel. This is the “Galipán Restaurant”, with traditional Venezuelan cuisine, specializing in pork (prepared in a Chinese box) and typical food from Galipán, that kind of earthly paradise nestled in our Guaraira Repano or Cerro El Avila.

This initiative, led by engineer Antonio Iachini, has a Galipano chef, a strict selection of background music and live performances, as well as a constant and well-curated agenda of events, such as a tasting or Rum and Chocolate Tasting, as an example.

For several years Iachini has successfully invested in gastronomic and tourism ventures, alternating his business vocation, with family roots in the construction industry, with social and non-profit roles. He was recently chosen in an assembly as general advisor of the community of Italian citizens in Venezuela (formally registered in the AIRE, Registry of Italians Resident Abroad), to raise their voices together before the Italian authorities and institutions.

He feels proud and humbled by the significance of works such as the Manto de María Monument, in Barquisimeto, built by Construcciones Yamaro.

Regarding the Historic Center of the city of Caracas, and more specifically about the Galipán Restaurant, it invites everyone, especially the Diplomatic Corps, the staff of the Embassies accredited in the country, as well as tourists and visitors to the Venezuelan capital, so that they can visit and enjoy the place, on the corner of San Jacinto, one block from Plaza Bolívar.
