From Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October a new edition of the FIT GAMES was held, the second, in this case the 2024, multidisciplinary event focused on CrossFit, which took place in the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV).

The Olympic stadium of the UCV, its swimming pools and “La Cachucha” were the spaces where the participating Latin American athletes met and shined.

Competitive functional fitness, swimming in a pool, cycling, gymnastics, Olympic lifting, athletics, precision or sport shooting and obstacle course race, are some of the disciplines in which action was seen.

Each of the 16 categories, which accept children from under 15 years old to people over 55, is divided into three cohorts: scaled, advanced and RX. Thus, it incorporated participants of different ages and levels of competition.

Some 500 competitors of all categories and levels shined in this final event, which in order to reach, they had to overcome a challenging qualifying stage.

FIT GAMES is a show that attracts the attention of numerous audiences inside and outside the country. In person, the previous calculation or goal of 1,500 people as an audience was exceeded in attendance.

The event had a diverse gastronomic area, spaces for skateboarding, tattoos, and other entertainment attractions.

The first edition of the FIT GAMES was held in 2014; since its inception, this event and sports-recreational project has been multidisciplinary and inclusive throughout Venezuela.

Will Muñoz, spokesperson for FIT GAMES, commented that “because it is an event that combines sports and culture, the event was a complete success, an energizing, motivating, and challenging experience.”
