The digital currency Tether has turned out to be the first token to be activated in Hermez’s layer two network, it has been associated with the cryptoasset in order to offer cheaper transactions through accumulation of zero knowledge.

As described, the company specified that the collaboration will be possible after the Hermez network is officially launched in early 2021.

Likewise, the company reported that the Hermez network “is run by coordinators without permission who will decide the transactions included in each lot, based on incentives (rates)”

For its part, a Hermez spokesperson announced that this year “rates are expected to be predictable after the initial transitional period, given that a lot is the same scarce resource as a (layer one) block at present, the rates should be sufficient to incentivize a coordinator to include your transaction in the lot. The main difference is that now the lots can have 2,000 tx each ”.

In recent times, the clamor for layer two adoption has increased, leading to expensive gas fees. In fact, the latest incident of this type caused disruptions to project teams seeking to launch their platforms.
